Okay, so I've been grossly neglecting DeviantArt for way too long. Things have been kind of crazy the last year or so, plus I've been just a little bit lazy. I have a fantastic new camera and have made use of it some, but not nearly enough. Not to mention I have a new niece to use it on, so I really should be more active. But isn't that the way it goes? Life gets in the way and all that jazz. Anyway - things are settling down a little and I'm hoping to get back in the groove. Unless I get busy doing something else! LOL

My Great-Grandmother, Luly Dean Sanders, passed away this August at the ripe old age of 97. Today, we had our first Thanksgiving dinner without her. Everyone in the family received a DVD that the funeral home made of photos from her childhood, adult years, and old age. I watched it as soon as I got home, and it seemed to really sink in that I will never see her or talk to her again, this side of Heaven. For surely, if anyone goes to Heaven, she did. So, yeah. I've been MIA for a while. Life's been kicking my ass. Here's a brief summary. 1) Got my own place! Just me and kiddios. It's sweet having our own place. (Even better - not having to deal with the folks as much) 2) My fourteen year old (aka "The Diva") has hit teendom with a vengeance. It's like a switch was flipped, 3) Noah has embarked upon Middle School. It hasn't been as bad as I imagined it would be. Not completely perfect, but there have been more good days than bad. 4) My financial situation is in the crapper. I haven't been this broke since I was married to the idiot. So that's all I got right now. I'll try not to be so
